Last night the Newcastle O2 Academy was blessed with the performance of indie pop band Blossoms at their NME Awards 2017 event.
The show was a sell-out, with no standing or seated tickets left. The crowd was packed with an audience full of the young and old, they are clearly a hit with all age groups.
After the show, the band and some of the audience members headed to a secret venue for a private DJ set, where the band played some of their favourite tunes, and mingled with the audience there. Clearly a down to Earth bunch, they spent time getting photographs and conversing with fans.
Since starting out only 4 years ago, they are definitely on their way to the top. They have performed all over the country, including festivals such as Reading and Leeds, with people standing outside of the tent just to hear them perform.
It has recently been announced they are to be the opening act for the much loved Stone Roses this June, with one of the shows being held at Wembley Stadium. Can it get any bigger than that?
